Water. The essence of life itself. We live on what's been called a "water planet" and yet millions around the world suffer illness or poverty for lack of access to this most basic resource. Fully one-third of the Earth's population lacks a supply of clean water. In some places the figure is much higher: in Kenya the number is 57%, and in Afghanistan it reaches an astounding 87%!

WaterWorks helps to address these issues by implementing projects that provide access to safe, clean drinking water. This involves drilling wells, constructing water distribution stations, building catchment systems, and developing water-related mid-and-micro-enterprises. We also conduct educational programs and conferences to increase awareness of this important problem.

To date, we have completed nine water infrastructure projects in Bangladesh, Nigeria, and Kenya, and we have several others under development.
